The 1971 Mustang Mach 1 351 Ram Air is probably my favorite gen Mustang. I love the lines.

Funny, these '71 and later are some of my least favorite Mustangs.

I didn't hesitate to add this model, though.  AA did a really nice job on these Mach 1s.

I loved the car too.  I vividly remember picking up my '71 Mach 1 429 SCJ Ram Air, with 4 speed Hurst shifter in March, 1971.  I burned the rear tires off it in two weeks.  I was a terror on Woodward Avenue.

Nah, it didn't have personalized plates.  They didn't exist then.  That's just me foolin' around with Photoshop.

@marty-johnson The plates are a nice touch though.

I really like the look of all these '71's ! Yeah, my view is perhaps the next evolution possibly should have been a somewhat leaner and slimmed down Mustang, rather than the somewhat uninspiring, overly-downsized and de-fanged Mustang II. Mustang did get back on track however and is currently a terrific modern musclecar.

That has to be one of the cars you wish you still had.  But now it would be parked in the living room with a velvet rope around it.

I agree with Jack that this generation Mustang only looks good as Mach 1s. Marty I love your photo shopped plates.
