In 1988 Kamaz plant made up a decision to take part in Jelch Rally in Poland. Russisn trucks had never taken part in international competitions before. 2 cars number 8 and 16 represented Kamaz in rally. Results- 2 place for a crew number 16; 4 place for the crew number 8.
The model of Rally Kamaz made by Elecon. This is one of the last miniatures, introduced in 2023. Strictly speaking it bases on the old 1990s castings but still looks very interesting.
Here you can see the functional rear suspension, high- detailed transmission, rising cabin underneath which is engine made in plastic.

All new to me Fred, as Marty noted.... pretty interesting. A Rally Truck like this, who would've thought? At 1/43, you should post in that Forum too; I'm sure the guys would love to see it. 😎

It was first Kamaz for rally.
The next, 1989 year Kamaz took part in Paris- Dakar Rally. Since that time the company regulary participated in rally marathons.
By the way, Elecon made several Rally trucks in different liveries. Many of them are still available.
