This model represents the 1971 East-African Safari Rally Winner, driven by Hermann/Shuller. Kyosho has released a number of 240Zs over the years, but this has always been my favorite. There are a number of detail changes between this & the street car (released around the same time, in the early 2000s) & the BRE SCCA car (released in the early 2010s).
with the street car & BRE, also both from Kyosho.
Kyosho has once again done an excellent job with the fine detail in this 240Z. Love these Datsuns. They make an impressive display.
WOWY-SCHMOWY look at all those fantastic details! I love those two spares stuffed in the hatch. These pics are really good; this is an exceptional model, but I think I'd be inclined to raise the front end just bit to better match the 1:1.
How you resisted the temptation to weather this gem (even just a little ) is beyond me. Thanks for the extra-effort on this post. Very cool! 😎Â

Related to this topic, here are a couple of pictures of my Kyosho Datsun 240Z in yellow.Â
I am also including a picture of my 1:1 scale 1972 Datsun 240Z, which I bought in 1972 and owned for 10 years. The picture was taken in 1975.
