I've been to Pegasus, which I've only known about because of you mentioning it Marty, I've been there a few times only because well I really haven't been there a few times I've only been there once because my job had me off the the 210 or the 10 freeway in there I want to go back so badly but I haven't been that way lately

@100ford2003 - Pete was the retired airline pilot that lived in Santa Monica, right?  I think he had a 1:1 Nissan 370 Z.  We were merely acquaintances via The Zone.

I frequently shopped at Prestige.  I did a ton of business with them.  It was the best diecast model store in Southern California.  Now that they're out of business, I do all of my local shopping at Pegasus.  However, as you know, diecast isn't their forté.

Since Pegasus' move, they haven't unpacked and displayed their best diecast stuff.  I spoke with the owner a couple of times.  He took me down beneath the store into the gigantic storage area where he not only keeps excess inventory (quite a sight to see, actually) but also a vintage 1:1 motorcycle collection.

@100ford2003 - In case you don't have the new Pegasus address, it's:  1458 W 7th St, Upland, CA 91786

Not sure about Pete other than he has a '66 Caprice wagon which is like new and he does custom DM & FM models.

Marty, you're not to far from Garden Grove. Why don't you come down to the car show ?

I'll buy you a T-shirt...lol.

Steve

@100ford2003 - Yes, I might have him confused with another Zone member.  Pre-COVID I used to regularly attend the Seal Beach and Orange Country cruise shows.  Sometimes I'd do the Long Beach and Pomona Fairgrounds shows. One I've never done that is on my bucket list is Pebble Beach.

Hands down, the best car event I've ever done is the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit!  Nothing else that I've attended comes close to that event.  It was majestic and magical.  Literally, every kind and class of vehicle that ever existed in attendance and in enormous quantities.  I'd like to do it again.

@marty-johnson

Sounds great. I've watched vids from folks who've been to Woodward and am jealous.

My youngest brother, BIL, and I went to Dearborn for the 2003 Ford 100 Birthday Celebration. We rented an Eddie Bauer Expedition and drove from Buffalo thru Canada. We had a great time !

I wish I could visit again. There was so much to see at The Henry and Greenfield Village.
