OK Frank, two can play this game!  LoL 😀    Since it's highly unlikely, I'll ever guess correctly on your post....  I'll, just this once, pose my own "make the connection"   question:

Con 2
Con 1
AMX 5

Richard A. Teague had a hand in the design of all three?

Well maybe....   ??    Was the Packard Predictor the 1st car to have one?   I do NOT know. 🤔 🤔

Good guess but no....well, at least not the answer I was looking for.

I thought the "Rocket 88"  came out in 1949  (my model is a '50 )  Packard certainly had a new V8 in '55 (I used to own a '56 )   I have NO idea about the AMX.

@jkuvakas Interesting history regarding that reverse window but I'll bet somewhere in Europe (or possibly America ) someone had the idea even sooner.

- Always a treat to see that GV Merc; without a doubt one his best efforts, everything looks right!

@jkuvakas - Just a point of clarity, the last year Mercury did the canted inward backlite was 1966.  For 1967 and 1968, the rear window was in the standard sloped position and did retract, but only a couple of inches.  It was to enhance the "breezeway" concept.  It was available on the Brougham and Park Lane.  The canted inward backlite on the Mercury ran from 1963 through 1966 only.
