@chris To drive a Rolls or Bentley is akin to driving a work of art, both visually, aesthetically, and from an engineering point of view. My first time in a Rolls Royce I asked my friend if we could all be silent for a moment, as I wanted to see if the advertising I had heard was a come-on, or true. As it turned out, even rolling down the highway in a heavy rain, the only sound I could hear was the clock. That is engineering at its finest. I have never had the same experience in any of the Mercedes Benz autos I have owned, though they are quieter than many cars I have owned.
And, I do believe you, Chris, re your ownership of many autos. It seems fitting, somehow.

TRUST ME when I tell you - THAT ALONE would be a JOY for me! 😉 😉 Hearing ANY unwanted noise, squeaks, rattles, chatter, etc., etc.... while driving... makes a manic out of me! 😠 😠
Think I'm kidding? About 10 days ago, I had the Dealership swap out vehicles, in my driveway, because my wife's newer Lincoln produced annoying "clanging sounds" eminating "somewhere" in the rear seat area. I COULDN'T take it! 😠 😠 🤪
26 hours later the car was returned - nice & quiet.
- BUT NO WHERE NEAR "Rolls Royce quiet," not even close, not even in the same ballpark, street, city, state, or country! 😩 😒
