Due to the acceleration advantage of the electric motors driving the front wheels, until the introduction of the ZR1, it was the quickest Corvette ever produced. Times vary between 2.1 and 2.5 seconds. That's even quicker than the Z06. If a person never tracks their car, I think the Eray is a more practical purchase than the Z06 or ZR1.

@sizedoesmatter Apparently, he plans on driving in the snow - that's a great color for that sort of thing. 😎 😎
Congrats to him and you - no doubt your rides together will be a blast, and PLEASE.... try to follow the speed limits. Just kidding, I know you guys will do 120++++ 😬 😬 😬

Can't that machine do 170 mph with ease? 😲
Yes, easily hit that velocity! Here are the official top speeds for the C8 Series cars.
Stingray: 194 MPH
Eray: 183 MPH
Z06: 195 MPH
ZR1: 233 MPH
The fastest I've gone in a C8 was at Ron Fellows. There, I hit a top velocity of around 116 MPH. I would NEVER do that on a public road for obvious reasons: endangering the public AND risking going to jail.
The owner of the E-ray had a C8 Anniversary Edition Z06 which he sold/traded in.
He will drive it in the snow like he did with his other Corvettes...he does not baby his cars.
As for going fast...years back a local NJ Corvette dealer (Kerbeck) would sponsor Corvette Toys for Tots Runs. He arranged with the local authorities to close off a part of the AC expressway. I got my Vette up to 135 and I was passed by others like I was standing still. Oh, the good old days!!
