love your pictures Mike, I have a lot of Ertl's but not this one (color) thanks for sharing your talents...
Mike, this is the first time I have seen this model in this color...looks great.
@bob-jackman I don't remember ever seeing this color in real life. It's nice, but it doesn't ring "period" to me.

Thanks, Galen. I have a grey '55 convertible with a continental kit and that's a really nice Ertl, too. It models the Chevy from the movie "Two-Lane Blacktop"

Thanks, Bob. This is from many years ago and it's from Ertl's "Happy Days" series of 1/18ths. My Dad had a 2 door coupe '55 Bel Air beauty in this same color as a two-tone coral and grey.

It's a very legitimate color and, in any case, looks great in my view. It's very Fifties and my father had one in coral and grey. Here's a convertible in that color.
@rich-sufficool I have never seen a real 55 Chev in this single coral color but of course saw it many times 2-toned with white or dark grey metallic.

There a picture right above showing a real '55 Bel Air convertible in this single color, and since they sold over 1.7 million Chevys in '55, it would not be surprising if you did not see every one ever made to confirm the color, I would guess.
