(Pics) 1959 Dodge Custom Royal
This is the SunStar '59 Dodge Custom Royal convertible in both top down and top up form. My original convertible is in top down form, but I have also added views of it in top up form with an added modified '61 Imperial convertible top placed in position. It can be displayed either way now.
1957 through 1960 Dodges were spectacular finned creations with the '59 and '60 editions featuring increasingly extensive styling changes but always looking great !

I like the model more than I actually like the car....
So many of those land yachts just turned me off as a kid. The chrome and the tail fins.By the end of the fifties I was looking at more minimalist designs sans fins like the '62 Studebaker GT, the '61 Lincoln mid060's Imperial Crown Coupe.

Excellent photos as always. Your work always impresses me. The model however, does nothing for me-it seems "droopy" but I don't actually have one. So just based on the photos I've seen.
