Many years ago, Welly did this very nice 1/18 version of the sleek Ford Thunderbird. I am happy to have this white/cream-colored top-up convertible T-Bird scale replica.

Beautiful. I like it with and without the fender skirts. Your pictures are their usual incredible!

Thanks ! Many years ago I also had a red Anson hardtop diecast of this Thunderbird, but I still have this '62 one, by Welly, I think.

@perrone1 The fender skirts were an option delete when the wire wheels were optioned. On the Sports Roadster, the wire wheels were standard. The original Kelsey Hayes wires would not fit inside the skirts but the after market wires have a different off-set and will.

Thanks for that information, Bob ! It helps explain the different but still factory-standard looks this car could wear originally or in a restored example.

The 1958 one by DM looks great ! It is a gorgeous automobile and from that T-Bird era, I have a couple of SunStar 1960 versions.

Had the 1:1 in that color, though the top was creme on mine. I wish I still had it on a day like today.
