Cadillacs have always been impressive automobiles and thus make great replicas/diecasts from any era. This is a very inexpensive diecast model of the giant 1965 Cadillac. It was done in the "dub" style by Jada, but I did just a couple of minor modifications to make it look a bit more like a regular Cadillac coupe from back then.

It featured a lot of chrome engine and interior on the diecast, but I raised the ride height a little and I think painted the interior black to make it look and display somewhat more like a standard car.

I have it in black Mike. One of the few from JADA that's close enough to stock for me.

@bob-jackman I had one, but sold it off.....  🙄 🙄 🙄    (I kept the figure though  😉)

BUT....    Bob, if you have a JADA 1/18 '65 Cadillac in black - you have the rarest of the rare!     😬 😬 😬 😬 😬 😬

I have never ever seen one of these in black.   I know JADA released a 1/24 '63 or '64 CDV in black but I've never seen a black 1/18 '65 CDV.

Might you be able to post a pic?    🤔 🤨 🤔 🤨

Fun 3

@chris You caught me Chris. The model is in 1/24 scale not 1/18.

I have the yellow Caddy.  I bought it and the Godfather Caddy. They were my first JADA diecast.

@rich-sufficool I know, right?  😉    I saw the movie long after I purchased the '65 CDV (and figure ) and thought the same thing, "JADA nailed it!"

@grockwood The Godfather Cadillac  is a much better model - it has the potential to be a "real diecast replica,"  not just a metal toy.    One day, I'll overall & enhance mine by first swapping out the chassis with one pirated from a Signature '38 Cadillac.    😏 😏 😏     I sold off my JADA '65; I deemed it too much work for a proper conversion.     😉 😉

That's my mom's car from back in the day.  I never bought the Jada because I knew the non stock parts would drive me crazy and I have no ability for modifications.  Other than maybe a promo I think this is the only 65 in yellow with black interior.  The promo models for the 65 are out of sight, price wise.
