This is Ertl's very nice 1/18 version of the 1966 Chevrolet Nova SS. Here, it is in a pale yellow shade.

I used that model as the basis of my Jungle Jim Liberman funny car.

@marty-johnson Interesting use of a Torqueflite transmission in a Chevy. Great model!

I always loved that shade of yellow used on the 60s GM cars.

I had a mint '67 in light metallic blue but unfortunately it had a Powerglide trans, which I found kind of boring.

@jack-dodds When I got out of the Army in '71, I scraped up a couple of hundred bucks for a '64 Chevy Biscayne tudor poster with 6 cylinder and Powerglide for a daily 80 mi round trip commuting. The lag and huge gear differential between Low and Drive would leave me dead in the water with a semi barreling up my tail while desperately trying to accelerate to highway speed. The damned Powerglide put my life in danger on a daily basis.

That's the opposite of my friend's car. His family owned a repair/machine shop so his 400 H.O. was bored out, 4 speed (as I recall) with a 140 or 160 speedometer. With 3 of us in the car we buried that speedo one day on the expressway. That was (still, to this day) the fastest I've ever traveled in a car.

Wow!  An Art Carr Torqueflite!  I'd forgotten all about that!
