The 1967 Camaro was a beautiful pony car and this Maisto diecast model I got years ago reflects that. The shot of it in blue is only a color test in the computer/photo software and my diecast was always red, as in the other shots.

Camaro was, to me, a very handsomely styled car.
It was available with hide away headlights which Mustang didn't have any downright beautiful options like the SS & RS packages.
I often wonder if GM had tried a 2+2 design to compete with the 'stang.
I've never heard of or seen anything to bring this option to fruition.
I like Camaro and Mustang, as well as Challenger (and now-gone Barracuda) both then and now, so I consider each to be fine pony cars over the years. I would have a hard time choosing and would happy take any (modern or vintage) although there can be differences in various areas.
In summer '74 I was 21 and my sister was 19. She already had a good job AND was in nursing school.
We went car shopping as she always liked the first years Cougars. I was wanting a new used car too.
We come across a 20K '70 Challenger SE in Plum Crazy w/black vinyl top. I'm interested.
Now, suddenly, my sis is in love with car. She got it for $2000.
Oh well, I set my sights on Camaro Z28 / Firebird Trans-Am '70-'73 model years and eventually found a '70TA. YAY for me !
Under 20K, MT, in meticulous shape owned by a police officer.
Made an offer, he accepted, became my new toy. Glad to have it over the Challenger.
Wish I had researched its history as it was Buccaneer Red w/white scoop & fender air extractors.
'70 TA's were supposedly only available in 2 colors... Lucerne Blue and White. I've never been able to yet find any info on the TA I had. Bummer..... Steve
A great buy for your sister, yet your 1970 T/A is a wonderful consolation prize !
You sometimes could input the VIN number of the automobile and get a state history of the car. I always wanted to do that with any of our family's cars, but for our older cars, I think I only have VIN numbers somewhere for my Dad's 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air and our 1955 Pontiac.

California DMV records are gone for the years I owned it.
@100ford2003 That's too bad but perhaps you never know if it will show up somewhere. Or perhaps the automobiles are now somewhere in the Happy Hunting Ground in the sky that cars go to ......
I have this Maisto as well as a number of other scales and versions in honor of the long-gone 1:1 that I owned in the 70s. Complete with 8-track tape deck
A really good one in this Camaro interior ! The only possible problem is perhaps you couldn't have your girl right next to you as you cruised. And drive-in movies could be a problem sometimes..........
