Highway 61 did some excellent versions of the mid-size Plymouth Satellite in 1/18 scale. I am happy to have 4 different versions and  here are some pictures of a couple of them :

I like your copper colored one. I've the Satelite, the Belvedere, and the GTX, they are great diecast.

My finance (later to be wife #1) bought this Satellite I think with a 318. I had the one year only 1st gen '65 which I thought was much better looking. A few years later, she traded it in for a Chrysler Newport tudor which I liked a lot better.

I'm pretty sure the Plymouth GTX was the first Highway 61 model I ever purchased.  That had to been about 25 years ago.

H61 was a new, young company, and they would go on to boldly (albeit, unprofitably) produce models no other maker would touch.  At the time, the 1:18 scale competition was Burago, Road Tough, Ertl, and UT.  At the time, not exactly formidable competition.  So, with the attention to detail H61 was applying to their models, I recall how impressed I was with the end result.  Indeed, this GTX encouraged me, without any hesitation, to buy all the H61 models I had an interest in.  They were that good.

You may be right, but I thought it was their 1951 Studebaker.  Does anyone know for certain?    (Note: This site is still "glitching"  .....sadly)

Those all look great ! I remember an interview with Tom Haviland of Highway 61 in which he showed off the initial Highway 61 1/18 product, which was a 1951 Studebaker. I have an H61 in Maui blue and it is a wonderful diecast model which I think "expensively" retailed back then for $49.95 ! Wink

The entire 1967 Plymouth series from them was a great one with several different configurations and colors.

They made great diecast car and truck models in several different scales. I met company head Tom Haverland at a diecast meeting with Joe Kelley and DCP founder Tim Cote.

Super imagery.  I love the inter-stellar psychedelia on Nº 2, it's very much in keeping with the age.
