Here is a Maisto 1/18 diecast of the 1970 Chevrolet 2-door Nova coupe in a dark maroon color. This one has an SS396 V-8 engine under the hood. Nova's came in various 2 and 4-door styles and with different gasoline-powered V-8 and 6-cylinder motors under the hood.

Mike I like the color of your Nova and the photos. I have 1 Maisto Nova, 5 Ertl 69 and 70 and 2 GMP 71s.

Ahhh, 70 Nova, near and dear tp my heart. I bought a new one in early 1970, Autumn Gold. 350 four-speed.
Love the pics Mike, especially how you caught the jet fighter just as it entered your frame! They look terrific - so do yours, Gary.

Thanks ! They are all great-looking cars and diecast replicas of them. Overall, in both model and real form, a good success for the manufacturers.

Tony, nice looking ride. Rich, I thought yours looked like a GMP, saw the stamp on the chassis.

Sweet looking models guys, I love the 68-72 Nova's. I wish I'd kept mine now. It was a '72 red/black with Cragers and white letter tires. It was sharp looking. Sold it to my cousin Kevin who turned it in to a drag car. He used to race it at Kilcare dragway in Dayton, Ohio. I dont know what happened to it from there.😟

When these Novas came out I was not impressed as they just looked like grocery getters to me. Over the years I have learned to appreciate them as being a very solid base for everything from basic transportation to competitive muscle cars. Love the models guys.
