Some years ago Cadillac had their own version of the current Chevrolet Corvette in their XLR luxury/sports 2-seat roadster. The original car had a powerful Northstar V-8, I believe, and was a  really good-looking, if rather uncommon, vehicle. Here it is replicated in 1/18th diecast form by Mattel Hot Wheels.

Thanks, Bob ! Cadillac didn't make the XLR for long (and the HW 1/18 isn't so common either, I don't think)...... but the Northstar V-8 makes this one a bit more interesting.

Cadillac did a nice job concealing the hidden fact that a "Corvette"  was lurking below. Despite being 20 years old, these angled-edgy design themes still look some-what current.

I always really liked the XLR, especially the XLR-V, which I wish HW had done as well.  I just sold this model earlier this year.
