This is Ertl's "Body Shop" intermediate/muscle Buick GSX for 1970 in white. With "Body Shop" diecast cars, you assembled the car yourself, using the pre-painted diecast body shell. The result can be a very nice looking replica and you cannot beat a '70 Buick for a subject !

Thanks, George ! Buick sure made some beautiful cars back then and this 1970 edition was certainly among them. Smile

I had this one in black.  I thought I'd read that SunStar is supposed to be releasing a GSX sometime in the near future.

Really? I haven't heard that. I do know more Platinum & "regular car"  repaints are coming but no new tooling. Perhaps they acquired old tooling? 🤔 🤔 🤨

No updates as to whether its the old Ertl tooling or something new (hopefully).

I seem to get the impression this will be one of the Ertl very nice mold sets used for this replica. They talk about "cheap and cheerful" so I would think this will not be in the Platinum Series line. The colors, arctic white and Saturn yellow, I believe are also the colors the Ertrl 1/18 was released in, including the "Body Shop" version.
