This is the hardtop Cadillac coupe for 1963, which is also from Jada. This one was released by them as a "dub" style customized modern automobile and it is done well in that particular style. Yet I wanted to have a more standard style Cadillac for 1963, so I raised the ride height and then installed 1965 wheels, in this case, Chevrolet Corvette wheels from Maisto.
The big Cadillac coupe now looks a bit more like a regular automobile and does not take a lot of re-doing as it is a straightforward change. (if you have such appropriate wheels around). As with the convertible, Cadillacs were giant and impressive luxury cars in that era and any 1/18 diecast is a treat to have.
After the gorgeous '62, the '63 is my second favorite Caddy of that decade.

Definitely back then, Cadillacs were always large, comfortable and good-looking cars. The Jada 1/18 diecast, in the convertible at least, uses what appears to be a chrome-highlighted version of the big 390 V-8 engine from that year. It's the type of smooth, powerful engine that everybody loves !
Such fun to see the Creature from the Black Lagoon terrorising your Cadillac scenario.

Lol, yep, he definitely upstaged Tony Montana/Louie in this case !

You bet ! I still remember some real old and scary (at least to me) programs from the distant past, circa 1954-1959 or so.
The 'Outer Limits' was a good start at nightmares for me... !
The scariest movie is X-The Unknown: a British Hammer horror that follows a nuclearesque blob, (a precursor to The Blob) " X ", as it roams the English countryside, feeding upon energy and terrorising human-kind. Very 1956!
Dean Jagger !?!......Hell yes !!!!.....just offhand, approximately how many gorillas appear in this Blockbuster?
From memory, (not as far back as '56) it's more a Baboonesque, shrill shriek flick.

I recommend sending out the constables from Heartbeat to deal with this nightmare!
