And with 7 second times, no less. A couple of years ago, I bought this Hemi Challenger R/T Ramcharger tribute model which I guess is in Pro Street armament to display with the old Dodges. Well, a cabal of techies got together to design a Challenger Drag Pak and ginned up an SRT. Waxing nostalgic, they bought the rights to the Ramchargers property from some judge and lo and behod, the Ramcharger ride again in time for the 65 year anniversary. The first Ramcharger was a 1961 413 Dodge Dart (the full sized car) that won Mr Stock eliminator that year.

The new Ramcharger SRT offers nothing beyond the livery that isn't cutting edge and it's got a great nostalgic look.

Two great models; lots of fine detail and stunningly photographed.  Interesting, too, to compare two cars of completely different times sporting the same livery and expressing the same youthful energy.

Wasn't this the first Ramchargers  car?  Or are you counting the 1961 Dart as first  because of the Mopar-Dodge factory endorsement?

@chris The Ramcharger site I used had the '61 Dodge as their first. You could be right about it being the first factory participation... perhaps the first "Super Stock" car.... the first Dodge? The Ramcharger "High and Mighty" 1949 Plymouth Hemi was certainly done by the same Chrysler engineers as a hot rod.

@chris - Speaking of abandoned projects, this was something I contemplated, but it never got beyond the planning stages. However, if I actually did the model, it would have been really cool to have. The work required would have been quite significant.  Not only was the bodied narrowed, but the headlight buckets on both sides of the car were too.  It also featured a removable roof so the car could optionally be run as a roadster or as a hardtop.

@marty-johnson Oh yeah! I totally forgot about this Dart. Man, this would be so cool to see in 1/18 scale and would SO  fit in with your fantastic one-of-a-kind-collection.

May I suggest using silicone molds & resin cast should you ever get the bug  to actually fabricate this. I'd make a large silicone mold of a 1/18 diecast Dart body, then cast it in resin.

Then, I would do ALL my modifications to the 1/18 resin body.  Once completed, I would (probably ) then make another silicone mold and re-cast.

Wola! One perfectly  replicated 1/18 Ramchargers  modified funny car  Dart body.... in lightweight fiberglass,  not diecast!

Oh, man! I can see it now, so cool! 😎 😎

@chris - If I were going to do it, that would be an option I hadn't thought of.  I'd have to learn how to do all that stuff.  I think I have a kit around here somewhere!  LOL! 🤣
