Along with the beautiful and detailed Highway 61 1966 Pontiac mid-size which is shown ideally in the other thread, others have also done the great GTO from that year, although generally at a lower price/detail point than H61. This is the Welly version as done in white. It is really nice and the mid-size Pontiac cars from those years were real lookers and featured the famous split-grille styling.

Well (...or should I say, "Welly." LoL ) I must admit, I completely forgot about this release. Pontiacs were real lookers,  IMO, throughout most of the 1960's, just beautiful & well built cars.

Pontiac sure hit a home run with this style GTO and the split-grille styling is a classic. Highway 61 and Welly (and others) have done a fine job at their respective price/detail points and it is great to have this one represented in 1/18 scale diecast form.

I've got to admit that in the photos, it looks like a nice model.

It is actually a really nice one, George and I additionally had a "black chrome" 1967 GTO from Ertl that was also really a good model of a cool car. I had to downsize a bit during a move but I still have a bunch of diecast Pontiac cars and my family "for real" had several 1:1's, too.
