pix new from Minichamps, if you haven't seen their line of plastic models yet, here is the new McLaren in GT racing cloths. It's not resin, it's plastic. This is my second one, the first being a white Porsche in GT3 form. They come in other colors by the way. It's a static model, only the front wheels turn. It's very crisp, great shelf appeal, wish the wheels were brighter but at least they are not black. Interior is nicely detailed just hard to see. I had wanted a McLaren, racer preferred but the prices started at over $200, then I found this for $76 and couldn't hit the cart button fast enough. See what you think

It looks really good for $76. If I remember their description correctly, they can also make cars with opening parts which one would assume could have lower prices than their diecasts. As long as they don't eliminate their diecasts it seems like a great solution.

The doors on this model are seperate pieces so I could see them using opening parts and the shut lines are very crisp.

Is it painted, or just molded in white plastic?
