MFP 508,was Max Rockatanski's 1974 Ford Falcon XB 351 Sedan AKA: the Second To Last of The V8 Interceptors. The 351 cid V8 was good for 300 bhp @ 5600 rpm. I was the standard interceptor for the Main Force Patrol. Two of them were smashed up in Mad Max 1 pursuing the infamous "Night Rider".

After having his family slaughtered by Toecutter's biker gang, Max was given the last of the V8 interceptors, a 1973 XB GT Ford Falcon Coupe with its V8 supercharged and with nitrous injection to head back into the Outback in an never ending search for fuel while fighting the evil gangs that plagued the land. This time, his only company was his dog, "Dog".

In Mad Max 4 "Fury Road", the XB GT made its final appearance with double decker superchargers and rear mounted twin harpoon guns. It seems to run on propane (twin tanks).

Impressive and intimidating automobiles and they all look great ! Were both the Interceptor and MM's first '73 XB-GT Ford Falcon coupe done by the same company ?

Impressive machines. I had forgotten about these 'exotic' post apocoliptic vehicles from the Mad Max movies. Again Rich, a very interesting post.

@david-green Not being too familiar with Australian variants from our 'Big Three', I was surprised to know that in the first two movies, the cars were mostly Fords (reminiscent of all those Quinn Martin Productions TV series of the '60s. Here's the 1973 Ford Landau LTD that Max rammed in the first minutes of "The Road Warriors" after Max was pursued by Wez and a dune buggy. It was the luxury version of the Ford Falcon XB series and was converted to a dually with what I guess are twin turbos feeding the 351 V8. It's another AUTOart but in 1/43 that came with a companion Max car.

That 1/43 is crazy....a dually?!  awesome!  Love these Aussie Falcons.  The models look very well done.  I'm pretty sure that the 2nd set of pics (with the twin tanks & the dog) is by AutoArt, but can't remember who made the first one.  Was that AA as well, or GL?

I have a handful of Aussie Falcons, but this one is by far my favorite.
