For what it's worth.... my best friend's (the Mustang expert ) auction estimate is $3.5 to $3.8 million. That's about where I put it too. In 2 weeks, we'll know! 🙄 😏 👍

Two weeks until the auction?? Well that puts me out of the running; my pension cheque will arrive too late.
I can't stand black as an interior headliner color as it's too dark and makes me feel closed in.

@jack-dodds Mecum does offer guaranteed, conversion rate fund's depositors that can secure your purchase (without payment ) up to 30 days. So, all hope is not lost. I suggest you bid early if you're interested.

Lol !
I like cars and interiors in just about any/all colors that they were available in ...... and even most modern day restorations and interpretations. I think this particular one would be a beauty in probably any scheme. ICE Mustangs are cool !
What I would dislike would be a "government mandated" color that all comrades, I mean, people, would have to take. Holy Trabant, that would be bad news !

Move to California cuz I'll bet that's coming soon with the way some of it's residents vote.
Please God, let me make enough money so I can get the hell out of this state....

In our poll, we classified black as a sporty color, tan as a luxury color, white as a modern color, and red as a performance color. In our poll, 51 percent chose black, 27 percent went with tan, and around 12 percent opted for red. Only 10 percent picked a white interior.

Thanks for this info.....I'll run it by the Missus.
@marty-johnson This is very interesting and a bit surprising. I figured white would be #1 exterior but thought silver and grey would be well ahead of black and that red would have been more popular.
I sure wish there was more variety of interior colors; black/grey is so overused now. The 60s was the best era for choices of both interior and exterior colors.
@jack-dodds ...do what Jay Leno does..... buy it, THEN tell the wife. 😏
Well....she may be a bit more open to such surprise behavior than my wife; given the Leno standard of living. All joking aside, I must say that Leno's modesty and humility is really refreshing; he is a class act imho.
@jack-dodds I've seen him but never met him. My son (who couldn't tell a Porsche from a Pinto ) has met him and said he's really a nice guy.
In case anyone was wondering (or cares ).... this "Green Hornet Mustang" sold for practically BARGIN MONEY!! When I guessed what it would sell for, which was millions, not being a Mustang guy/expert, I did NOT realize this car was a REPLICA.
Later today, I'll talk to my friend (the Mustang GURU ) and chew him out!! His pre-auction estimate was a WRONG as mine. Did he NOT know this was a replica? He never told me it was.
The Green Hornet SHELBY MUSTANG replica, commissioned and signed by Carroll Shelby sold for A PALTRY SUM of just $210,000. THAT IS A BARGIN!! Someone got a GREAT DEAL!!
