It was a rainy day at the 2008 Indy 500 grounds when Chevrolet celebrated 30 years of Corvette Indy Pace Cars from 1978 to 2008. This black and silvery T-topped C3 Corvette was the linchpin of the display that ended with a 2008 Emerson Fittipaldi signature Corvette that commemorated those 30 years.
I can still relive that day thanks to the defunct UT Models division of AUTOart who made this really pretty model of the pace car.
I knew a guy that bought one new, he debated whether to apply the Indy decals or preserve them in their factory wrapped box. Being a kid, I was impressed with silver leather interior.
I know the car was more Show than Go, but it is very cool and makes a great model!

It's not a pretty model IMO..
It's a PRETTY GREAT model of a beautiful Corvette pace car and Auto Art did a great job of replicating it !
I know I kept it when I was selling my collection... There was no way I was going to part with it.
@100ford2003...totally agree Steve. I have 29 UT Models & love them all. For a bit more than Bburago/Maisto at the time, they blew them away in terms of detail & overall execution.

You are 101% correct Gavin.
I still kept some when selling my collection. Porsche and Corvettes.
