The next models from Acme w/ the HWY 61 tooling
Acme announces the release of our first two Chevy C10 Pickups from the HWY 61 tooling!
The first is a Gulf Oil Racing inspired custom hauler. A trailer hitch is included and will hook up to any GMP 1:18 car trailer.
The second is a clean custom C10 finished in that classic 1968 GM light green with white top combo.

Maybe it's just me, but I gotta wonder how ACME comes up with its color choices...
... I actually like the Gulf truck, but I wouldn't choose that one if I could only have one. I'm sure they probably figure that there's no point in re-doing what Highway 61 already did, and of course, there isn't, but I can't believe that there would be many people out there looking to pick up (pardon the pun) a puke-green Chevy truck!
Same goes for that awful chrome-metallic mint-green '71 Olds 442! Was that even an actual color choice offered by Oldsmobile?
Plus, as much as I LOVED Lane's '70 Chevelles, I have yet to see one of ACME's offered in a color that I would want (they ARE made from the old Lane molds, aren't they? For some reason, they don't look as good)!
Green Olds was real...can't remember the story behind it, though.
I think it looks great, personally.
That shade of green was a factory color. A relative had a new Cutlass Supreme in that color.
Radiant Green Metallic
Actually, that one DOES look pretty good! Unfortunately, I still don't like...
... the ACME model color. Maybe if I saw it "in the flesh," I'd feel differently about it.
Lol...what does Bruce think? It is green...
