It was Ferrari's 1979 chassis 040 #11 312P4. It was Ferrari's pioneering first true ground effects car. For raw power, The twin turbo Renault RS10 should have been the car to beat, but Scheckter's slippery car along with its reliable 3.0 liter flat 12 came out on top that year winning the Drivers' World Championship , Schecker was the only one to drive that car throughout its history and after he retired at the end of the 1980 season where he drove in the North American Grand Prix circuit. The only car Scheckter wanted after his long and successful career having also driven for Lotus, Tyrrell, and McLaren from 1972 to 1980 including the Tyrrell six wheel P34, was his #11 312 T4. Ferrari sold it to him in 1982 and kept the car in race-ready condition exhibiting it in various events. In 2024, the car was auctioned off at RM Sotheby's for over $8 million. Model by Exoto.
