Now the shining light of an excellent diorama! LOVE the primer!
I am loving the " primer " look on that model of vehicle, anymore from different angles ?
@modeldadeeee Oh, you say you like primer?
I have MANY primer project pics, here's a few quickies:
My '56 FORD C.O.E in progress, and my '56 Chevy 150 2-dr sedan in progress.
There's something about primered vehicles that just works for me..
@chris Love your "project progression" pics Chris!
I totally agree. On some of my past projects, where I've stripped the model down to bare metal, I sometimes just wanted to keep it in that state. There is something so natural and raw about how it looks.

@chris - As you know, another good thing about primer is that it shows the flaws that require attention. Sanding, filing, sanding, filing, sanding, filing, and sanding some more! After that, more sanding, filing, sanding, filing, and more sanding! Yeah, that's why my right arm looks like Schwarzenegger's and my left arm looks like Pee Wee Herman's.
You're right! It was Chris' tribute to his Mom. If you'll recall, Chris went all out on that model. He actually created a functional dipstick with real oil in the crankcase! If I remember correctly you modelled that 150 after your Mom's 1:1.
Steve
Steve, Marty.... yes, that's correct. Sadly, I've never been able to locate the two photos I saw (as a teen ) of her car. Marty always appreciated that dip stick! 😀 😉 😀
