Good ol' Chris Moroni told me about two Autoart 1953 C1 Corvettes that were available on eBay. One was an "Offer," and the other was a "Buy It Now." I put in an offer that was accepted. The problem is, I didn't realize my offer had been accepted and thought I'd lost out, so I executed a Buy It Now on the second. Turns out I bought two 1953 Autoart C1s. DOH! So, what am I gonna do with two models of the same car? I'm thinking about exchanging the wheels (and possibly the engine) on one of them and keeping the second as pure original stock. For me, the best of both worlds.
"Convert one into the '54 Von Esser Panamericana Corvette. I did that with a 1/24 '53."
OK, now I'm a bit confused. DM did indeed offer a 1/24 version of this 1954 Vette - or so I thought. You did yours BEFORE theirs? Or, you just did one anyway? 🤔 🤔 🤔

Chris, I'll let Rich fill you in on the details but HIS creation was what DM used to build theirs!!
On eBay, a seller can ask for any price they want. Askin' price ain't got nuthin' to do with the sellin' price, though. I paid $167 and $184, including shipping and tax, for the two models I have.
