The Bugatti Type 35, introduced in 1924 and constantly modified during its production years ending in 1929. This model represents the first generation with its naturally aspirated 2.0 liter SOHC straight 8 engine that produced 90 HP at an impressive 6000 rpm, with the car's overall weight of under 1500 lbs. Soon equipped with a supercharger and increased displacement , it managed to stay ahead of the competition throughout its production. The T35 was a boon to privateers as it was sold race ready to anyone who'd pay. Only 96 of this first gen were produced. Its light weigh construction began with a ladder frame, a hollow front axle, the first running cast alloy wheels and an aluminum body affixed to the chassis by a continuous wire.  The nose has the iconic 'horseshoe' grill and ended with the 'Bordino tail' that was inspired by Pietro Bordino's modified Fiat 804. This CMC model replicates all the quality work including the engine turned finish on the engine block, firewall and dash. CMC modeled this car with a significant positive camber that some collectors claim is too severe. I wasn't convinced enough to attempt reducing the camber.

It always looked that way to me, but I do NOT own this replica. Great pics, I didn't realize just how "involved"  that engine compartment is.  Cool! 😎 😎
