and she also may have "Bette Davis eyes", but she ain't got Greta Garbo's 1933 Duesenberg J Victoria Cabriolet. The extended length Duesenberg J chassis received the collaborative effort of Gordon Buehrig and Parisian coach builders Fernandez & Darrin (yes, THAT Darrin). With its extended rear end with two spare tires and unique Romo French Safety Bumpers (required at the time), its 265 HP J-481 420 cid straight could propel this behemoth to 115 mph. This another Franklin Mint model I wish wasn't done so early in their history. It could definitely stand a better set of wire wheels, separate wipers and a 3-D upgrade to replace that applique dash, but it still is an impressive model from the glamorous 1930s automobiles of the Hollywood elite.

and her hair may well be "Harlow gold". Loved the amazing driving beat behind that song, oh yeh and the model and pics, thanks Rich!

Wonderful shots of a stylish design. It's interesting to note how Fernandez & Darrin have given it an elegant Town Car treatment, whilst retaining something of the raw, sportsman-like Duesenberg J.
