love these old Johan kits. Need to be careful, plastic is often brittle, and need to make sure they are always sealed. Love the unusual grill on the car.

Looks great - that is one I'd love to see in 1:43.

Great model!  When the '62 Plymouth debuted, as a 10 year old kid I was aghast at the "to my little eyes" the ugliness of it.  The whole car didn't seem to have any flow to the styling.

Seeing it, flashes me back to '62, when with my Dad, we were in showroom floor of Kopy Chrysler/Plymouth in St. Paul seeing it.  But like an old Wine, that Plymouth aged better and better to my eyes today.

I think it's the oddness of its looks that make it appealing to me.  I would have loved one of the 1:24 scale diecast mints to have given us a model of this one.

Geoff, you did an outstanding job on this model.  Love the red paint.  How do you get it so glossy and smooth.

Very nicely done Geoff. I still have a few Jo-Han kits. Not sure that I am up to the task.

Great looking Plymouth....well done!  Like John M., I would love to see the '62 Plymouth Fury HT done in 1/43 scale; same goes for the Dodge.  These cars were not that well received when introduced but I like them much more now because they are so different looking from their competitors.  The reason for their downsizing is an interesting part of automobile history.

thanks for the supportive comments gents. John N, I think I put 3 coats on, because of having to sand out too many dust spots! George and Jack your comments about the design align with mine. Although I cannot recall spotting the real cars I've seen many since in videos, pics etc and originally thought "that is too weird" or words to that effect! Now I really appreciate their uniqueness. There are other Johan kits I'd love to find over time of Dodges and Plymouths from the early 60s. Here are a few, there are more but all are generally quite rare and expensive. Thanks again all.
