This 39 year old Danbury Mint 1934 Packard LeBaron Speedster, released back in the Dark Ages of 1987 was about the best you could expect for the times. Dog leg hinges, bare bones engine, 2-D applique dash and a touch of orange peel to the finish was kinda what you got back then. To its credit, none of the badging and trim pieces were tampo'd and the Packard marque was delicately painted in red on the castings. All in all, I was satisfied to have a model Packard from its heyday in the 1930s. Did it age well? Well, so far, it looks exactly like it arrived 39 years ago... save for the white walls which look nicotine stained, despite even using automotive Black Magic "Bleche-Wite". Of course, everyone seemed to have the same problem, until I saw this model on eBay. Is the condition shown in the pictures possible? or Photoshopped?

The finish also looks absolutely flawless. Does any of you have this model in this condition?  Here's mine, and I even tweaked the color balance to whiten them a tad!

It is a stunningly beautiful car and Packard replica ! With photography and computers, nearly anything is possible ....  and you can't always fully believe what you see. Although I think I would still be delighted with this Packard replica with the tires in almost any state, lol !

mine are yellow, sorta indicates 'original condition' Once again your closeups Rich reveal tiny features of the model I've overlooked, thanks.

I have a teal/blue DM 1961 convertible.  I moved three years ago, packed all my models in their original boxes, stored indoors.  I recently unpacked all my models and the T-Bird whitewalls & convertible top both yellowed.  The white interior did not change color.  The only model of mine for this to happen.

Beautiful even with aging whitewalls. That eBay one looks too good to be true. I hope that the buyer is not disappointed. Thanks Rich.

@carsman1958 If you pull the trigger on it, please let us know what it looks like when you get it... especially the white walls.
