1949 Franklin Mint Cadillac CONVERTIBLE! The one TFM SHOULD have made (#5 of six produced) is now on ebay with little more than a day left to bid. This car is a joint venture between Wadus Exum (those of you who are familiar with his work will know that he is a master craftsman and a perfectionist) and myself.

I provided the raw materials and Wadus did the work (which is exquisite). The car has been derived from a TFM Ltd. Ed. '49 Cadillac Series 62 Sedan De Ville 2 door hardtop. A certificate of authenticity signed by Wadus accompanies the car and it also has a plaque in the trunk denoting the issue # (as well as the TFM Ltd. Issue number and all boxes and original literature).

We sold two of these Cadillac convertibles (#3 & #4) through the D4C. One of the purchasers emailed me that the car now up for auction will probably be won by a Cadillac dealer or someone who has experienced this 1:1 car sometime during their life.

This is a very rare and beautiful car (only six have been made and the series will never be duplicated). The first four cars are now in private collections.

At this point there are no bids on the car. If it doesn't sell I will ask Wadus' permission to purchase the remaining two cars from him. If he agrees, the remaining two cars will not be for sale again for several years.

If this car is of interest to you, don't miss the chance to own it. Check out Ebay, the Franklin Mint section.

LOL, LOL. I have NO idea how this happened. I've corrected the original post.

in case you missed it . . . Look under the Franklin Mint car section.

After going thru 23 pages and 1150 of FM items I found the car under FM/passenger/Cadillac/Diecast/1:24. It was worth it to gaze in wonder at quality. Too bad I'm only into Vettes.

Easily found it by searching "1949 Cadillac" . . .

that brought up 126 items, making it easy to find. Sometimes with Ebay searching can be easiest using the least likely words. In this case, we know there are hundreds if not thousands of Franklin Mint listings, so using that term isn't a good choice. However, there couldn't be that many 1949 Cadillac entries, and even fewer if you include "convertible".
