1949 Jaguar XK120 Roadster.
The Jaguar XK120 is a seminal British sports car produced between 1948 and 1954, renowned as the world's fastest production car at its launch, capable of exceeding 120 mph. It featured a 3.4-liter inline-six XK engine (160bhp) and was available as an open two-seater, drophead coupé, or fixed-head coupé. Originally, early models featured an aluminum body over a wood frame, later shifting to steel.

-
Legacy: The XK engine became legendary, used in various forms into the 1980s. The XK120 was highly successful in racing and rallying.

great write up David and yes "it is considered one of the most beautiful cars in history." is so accurate. I have both the FM and DM XK-120, such a shame they made the colors so close. I also have a pretty rough Bburago 1/24 hardtop. My memory is not the best but I think there is a Western Models 1/24 hardtop around? I dont believe there are any 1/24 XK140s or XK150s, IMHO equally beautiful cars
