1955 Pontiac Modification

For today's post you have what Chris Senyitko said was his "Frankenstein" modification changing body parts around. What started out as a 1955 Pontiac convertible has been modified to a 1955 Pontiac Safari Station Wagon, and it is really beautiful as you can see. The body is from a FM 1955 Chevy Nomad wagon and the wheels are from FM 1953 Buick Skylark. The project turned out even better than anticipated with Chris's masterful work including functioning tailgate and rear window. The puppy in the back was extra special...

Super job. The 'Safari' that FM should've built...but, didn't. Geez.

1955 Pontiac Modification

I almost forgot to mention that because the Safari was a complete repaint, the decal letters and insignias were lost and replaced with foil scripts and letters from a red/black limited edition 55 Pontiac that was experiencing major orange peel difficulties. It's hard to see, but the Pontiac letters are also at the bottom of the tailgate.

Sunstars and i always hold my breath! Then I'm quick to seal them with Future.

As mentioned, Chris calls it his Frankenstein job, cutting up bodies and piecing them together. Amazing how he got them all pieced together.
