Amazing. I never would have thought of using BMF. Thin, but just right in thickness. You're a genius

Chav, I originally painted it with chrome paint, but after it was installed it didn’t look bright enough so I bare metal foiled it.

WOW! When you say you started in 2019 - you don't mean you never did any modeling before, did you?

Hi Frank. I used to build 1:25 scale models as a kid but never worked with diecasts before. I was too intimidated to take something apart that cost me $120. I retired early a couple of years ago so I had some time on my hands. Did a lot of buying on eBay and noticed some older diecast issues were fairly cheap. I bought a DM yellow '69 Charger for $60 figuring that if I screwed it up it was no big deal. This was a purpose-built car, I'll share the story when I post pics of it.
I've done restorations on 1:1 cars, so these diecasts aren't much different, just a smaller scale and much easier to store!

Beautiful. I love the color combo. And I believe you've got the perfect sheen on the interior !

decals or photoetch available

You could probably use the decals from the Revell 68 SS396 or get a photoetch set from Model Car Garage to replace the emblems. The Chevelle emblems are all on the Revell decal sheet. MCG set is 69 Chevelle/Beaumont.
