I like the color. It would be a real struggle to say I liked either the car or the tires. Not a Corvette fan.

The red line tires are appropriate for the period. I had them on a 1966 Chevelle SS, a 1968 TR6 and a 1969 Dodge Dart. While I like them, most of my friends were more used to, and preferred, white walls.
As David mentions, Redlines were a popular item back then. Not everyone liked them and some got tired of them after a short time. I knew a couple of fellas who got them about the same time and both tired of them. They turned them inside and opted for the blackwall look instead.
Personally it is not the tire that is the problem, it is the rims. Corvettes, back in the 80's and 90's and the worst rims for a sports car. Now with the 2000's came around GM wised up and put some cool rims on the Corvettes that made the cars stand out.
@david-green I'm totally with you David....I love red lines; especially on muscle cars of the 60s.
I too love the redlines, they really pop and look great on muscle cars. My favorites next the white letter tires.💯😊
@geno Yes the red lines look especially cool when the muscle car is either black or white with red interior or all red.
@pete-rovero Pete, I too have the earlier version with the narrow red lines. I happen to like red lines and gold lines provided they are on period correct cars. The rims that are represented on this model are very rare and pricy in 1/1 scale today. Love those Vettes.
That metallic violet shade was perfect for the GTO....love it.
