In 1969 the Pony Car war was in full swing. Ford, Chevrolet, and Pontiac refreshed their Ponies with all-new sheet metal and engine options.  The Barracuda was in its third year of its second-generation body style with an all-new one slated for 1970.  Unfortunately, no Mints produced a 1969 Barracuda, but Mustangs and Camaros were plentiful.  DM produced a Firebird for the first time.

All very nice, but the Silver Jade version that you modified is incredible. I LOVE IT!

I remember a neighbor having one almost exactly like that when I was a kid. Very cool.

Pete, all great shots of great cars.  DM Specifically only focused on the 69 Charger as they were able to make a lot of iterations using the same mold.  FM did give us plenty of mopars starting with the 70 year.  Specifically the Cuda's and 4 really nice Roadrunners.

@carsman1958

Yes, DM sure did give us lots of Chargers!  I didn't include them because they fall into the category of Muscle cars.  Maybe John M could do a Charger week in the near future!

Hi Pete,

Just where did you get those beautiful Mustang badges on the sail panels ?

They're right off of the donor car, which was DM's Black Boss 429. I used a Boss 429 rather than a Boss 302 because the 429 has the sail panel emblems and the quarter panel scoops, while the 302 has neither.

Thanks Pete. Since I don't have any of those models I didn't know that that's where they came from. I appreciate your reply.
