Yeh Randy, Just like those Danbury's, got to have 'em now, now, now...
My last reply was for Chris, not Randy.
Doh! Yes I remember now....I meant at least a 4.6L or bigger engine.
That "Thunderbird" was barely a crackle on the prarie. I'm not sure what that means. But thanks for the correction.
Our local dealer was asking for $15,000 over MSRP on an orange one. I thought THAT was bad!
Speaking of Dodge...
....I just saw the craziest purple Charger here in Colorado. I went to the Dodge website and it does not show purple available. Anyone have the scoop? It looked brand new.
Scoop on Purple Charger....
What you saw was a used or leftover from last year, I don't think it's available on the 08's, and its called plum crazy.
Thx. never saw that one.
Hey! If DM added a 50% price hike on some desirable model, you can count on me to pass.
Even if it's a 1969 GTX in silver and black.
RANDY!!!!! The TBird had a V-8 -- 3.9 based on the 4.0 Jag engine.
Yes they are! The Nissan GT-R will be 35-40K over sticker, at ALL S. Cal dealers
What a shame! This will be the death of the Challenger...
like the Thunderbird. Dealer markups should be prohibited by the maker. As if Chrysler's sales aren't bad enough...this dealer wants to ruin any chance of sales with a cool product.
Current pricing on Chevies new ZR1 has reached exotic territory.
The suggested retail in Europe is double what it is here...see the link below...

Also on Craigs list there's a guy advertising two available at $350000 each He has ordered three but just like we try to do on some of these little 1/24th jewels, he is hoping that the profit from the two will pay for his third one that he's keeping!!!

Quote "But in our capitalist system, the price of anything is dictated by what someone is willing to pay."
I don't think so. In our state it is called price gouging when after a hurricane stores try to charge $10 for a bag of ice, $40 a sheet for plywood, etc. $20,000 over sticker is no better. Its highway robbery and should be against the law. True, someone will pay it, if nothing more than to be able to say he was the first one on the block .....
Here's a guy that ordered one and was first on the dealers list...$400K+ http://njection.com/blogs/jalopnik/archive/2008/06/23/price-gouging-reportedly-sets-price-of-2009-corvette-zr1-at-amazingly-insane-413-000-2009-corvette-zr1.aspx
