A few years ago, Galaxie Ltd. made a plastic kit of a '46-'48 Chevy sedan delivery, albeit with a few proportion errors as well a using incorrect sedan details such as under floor, seats, and lots of upscale bling. Since the '41 Chevy sedan deliveries shared the same main body as the postwar Chevies, I decided to merge the front fenders and grille area from a Welly '41 Convertible with the sedan delivery body of a Galaxie kit. I adjusted all the proportion issues (side indent, all window shapes, etc.) on the kit as well as opening and hinging the three doors. I was so pleased how the '41 turned out that i decided to also build a postwar '48 Chevy as the kit supplied but with the same proportion adjustments as well as opening doors
WHOA!! LOVE 'em! Both colors are terrific and man, would they be a great compliment to the DM Chevy '41's!!
Excellent work!
And by the way, that engine detail and interior are some of the finest work I have seen!
