Today I am 81 years old meaning my birth year was 1944. No civilian vehicles were built that war year but Willys and Ford built 167,000 jeeps, thousands more trucks were built for military use and also many airplanes like the B25 bomber.
So this small diorama represents my birth year.
When looking at B25s this one came up and I knew I had to have it. The tail number has 2344 in it so it was a no-brainer for me.
Of course the Jeep continued on as a civilian and even the Post Office bought a lot if them so in my 35 years as a carrier I put in many miles in these..it was a mess when I got it and took some cleaning but it came out pretty nice...
Thanks fer lookin'

I believe the B-25 you show has markings of plane flown by James Doolittle during Tokyo raid in April 1942. Is it a plastic model you built or a diecast model? Thanks for pictures. Also, since you posted this in the Forum 24 section, is the B-25 really 1/24 scale?

It’s a diecast in 1/48 by Franklin mint, I added the 1/24 Jeep to post on the Forum24.
