A little bit out of order after yesterdays "Sqaure-Bird" but the discussion of the different generations of the Thunderbird and the popularity of the "Baby-Bird" has led me to take that step back and feature my favorite from the 1st generation Thunderbird.

1955 Ford Thunderbird Roadster, issued in 2008 and presented in Thunderbird Blue.

WOW!!! That blue is almost shocking. I've not seen that color before either.

A beautiful car and model.  My favorite year of T-Bird.

After recently adding DMs black 61 Landau, this is the only model I have to go to complete a "set" of at least one hardtop and convertible from DMs and FMs (1956) Thunderbird range. Of course its the hardest to acquire. So its nice to see such a great photo presentation of it, thanks John.

Have it, love it. Thunderbird Blue was the promotional color that Ford used to introduce the brand new Bird for 1955. I owned a Goldenrod yellow 55 which a friend now owns. The Goldenrod Yellow was a mid year introduction. DM did a fabulous job with their models and these 55s are right up there with the best.

IMO the '55-56 Thunderbirds are some of the most handsomely designed cars of the '50's.

Just DDG even to this day !!
