As I finish up the "Chevrolet Week" I started more than a week ago. A few days off and maybe a featured post not related to the Chevrolet Bel Air is in the works. I promise that "Chevrolet Week" will return soon and I plan to resume with my favorite model group: The Impala. Stay tuned...
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Hardtop Sport Coupe & Convertible - These 2 models were issued by Danbury Mint as a set. For a while, DM created a situation where the purchase of one model gave the collector the opportunity to purchase another model, which put together a set of special models.
The convertible was issued in December 2002, it was finished in Inca Silver and was equipped as a "Fuel-Injected" version of their already popular '57 Chevy model. The Inca Silver coat this model is wrapped in is very nice and is nicely accented with a black top and a "screamin' special." red & silver interior. The convertible was a LE of 5000, mine is #901 and was followed up with a Hardtop Sport Coupe that was issued in 2003. It is also a LE, mine is #1106 and is presented in Matador Red. Together these two make a nice pair and a great addition to the already crowed arena of '57 Bel Air models.

TWO of my DM favorites! Throw in the Black hardtop and the Rose/White hardtop and these '57's are "The Four Horseman" of Chevy lore.
Great pics John and a great duo to end Chevy Week. Many thanks again for taking the time to share your models.
