I believe that you’re right Tony. I also think that some car brands “wear” certain colors better than others and become known for this.
I agree, and Chevy, especially the Impala always wore blue perfectly. From the silver-blue shades to dark blue, they all look great.

Back in the day a friend did a ground up restoration on a 1/1 scale of this exact car from the 409/409HP to the four speed floor shift. At that time I told him about the model and I ordered one for him and myself. Six months ago that friend passed away and his wife called me and told me to come get the model along with his Corvette model collection. These models now occupy a special display space in my collection.
