On and off over the last couple of weeks I've been posting photos of my early Ford models, and no group can go without these two. The 1939 & 1940 Ford Coupes are two of my favorite models as are the 1:1s a favorite Ford style.

The Cloud Mist Gray suited the '40 Ford much better than the red on the first one DM did.
@jack-dodds I’m in total agreement, the drop dead gorgeous DM ‘39 is on my top ten list, along with the gray ‘40. To me the 40 Ford is an iconic automotive design, but I could never warm up to the red DM, the color made it look like a toy. The gray version gives off the perfect 1940’s vibe and makes the model look sophisticated and exclusive. Saying all of that I have to confess that I love my “Coke” version in all of it’s carnival like splendor!
Here’s one I built years ago using a roached flame hot rod and an equally roached stock red model as I wanted the stock interior.
love the rod Kevin. Both beauties John, I have both but the more common red 1940.
