A visit to the Gilmore Car Museum for the Red Barns Spectacular this past weekend gave me the opportunity to tour the Museum buildings on campus. One of those buildings is the Lincoln Motor Car Museum, which is always filled with fabulous Lincolns from 1922 to a couple of modern prototypes. Among those cars displayed is a regular in the Museum's Collection, a 1955 Continental Mark II Prototype. One of three built and the only remaining example. They were used to test the new Continental assembly line and for overall build quality of the new Mark II. This car is in original, unrestored condition. Here's a shot of that car.
So today, my Model Dose will take a look back at FMs 1st Continental Mark II for 1956 in Presidential Black

What a beautiful prototype! The color looks to be between a burnished bronze and root beer.
Your pics of the black version are fantastic. (Have all the Mk II's, love 'em all!)
