I love the model. It's pure kitsch. But it's easy to see with that styling why Edsel died a quick death.

Great shots John!  I have it and also the Blue version.  I will forever be (likely) in the minority on seeing the '58 EDSEL as one of the most beautifully styled cars of the fifties.  Bumper to bumper it oozed "look at me" styling.  Sadly, we all know the Edsel story and the real reasons for its demise.

LOL, when I've asked that question, I usually realize that I passed on it because I either had too many other models on order already, sometimes it was 6 or more of them, or it was because (at the time) finances weren't supporting another model.  So yes, there a some over the decades that I wish I'd have ordered them.
