The V-16 Cadillac... The V-16 engine was introduced by Cadillac in 1930 and was the 1st in the US. The V-16 engine was offered in a Cadillac from 1930-1940, but the production of this legendary engine achieved its greatest production level in the 1st year, 1930. From that point and until it's final year of production in 1940, the output was far less from year to year. The majority of V-16 fitted Cadillac chassis had a custom-built body by GMs in-house coachbuilders, Fleetwood Metal Body & Fisher Body. The V-16 equipped cars are considered some of the finest of the era in which they were built, and all are considered CCCA Full Classics.
The Franklin Mint offered the model collector three of these models for the 1930 year. They were all LWB Imperial Sedans with the 1st being the Al Capone's bullet-proof car. The 2nd was another Imperial Sedan offered as the D4C LECC III and the third was the two-tone blue version show here. All three are amazing models that capture the elegance and class of one of Cadillac's finest built cars.

Terrific in those blue shades. After we had FM make some modifications to the car (Capone's Cadillac) for our LECC, mainly removing the 'shooting port', they amortized their tooling to do another two tone like ours but in these gorgeous colors! Superb photos!
I have this and the black Capone version. Brilliant models and pics, thanks John.
This is the only FM or DM Cadillac from the thirties I do not have and can't understand why not.
A beautiful Cadillac with outstanding pictures as we would expect.
