just about this time each year, the backwoods of the Carolinas begin to offer their most precious harvests.....Ginseng,Truffles and the like, bring forth hunter/gatherers of every ilk.......and then there`s Gargamel....long since weaned off the tender blue Elvin peoples,he still conducts a "business" of sorts......of that, the less said, the better_______this year, owing to a particularly good season last year,Garg has come out equipped with the latest Lloyd Alexander TS......the top-o-the-line version with it`s own little camper...

*...if the truffle hogs will just leave him alone for a minute*

...........Later,on that very same day, Stu the Bunny wanders into Gargamel`s now deserted campsite....(the hogs and Gargamel off somewhere in the woods chasing one-another)

.......as goes the code of the backwoods,"you are always looking for lunch or,SON,you are lunch"....we`ll hope for the best for little Stu as he attempts to avoid capture from what seems to be a fairly ruthless, although somewhat disorganized squad of predators

A fun photo essay, made more significant by your fine prose, John.

......the "cat" did not seem to have much heart for this lilliputian endeavor......maybe he was in need of a cat-nap.....or,more likely, the second can of Fancy Feast had put him off his game

......the big human gathered up what he could of "cat" and made his way out of the woods, leaving just Stu and the slimy grey elf to hash it out as best they could

.....despite having been carted home, some instance of "cat" can still be spotted in these "end of tale" photos.....that`s just the way it is with cats

after a time,in which Stu kept his presence undetected via his clever perch on the dinette table,a largish Ogre found his way into Gargamel`s campsite as he pursued a tender piglet (see the code of the backwoods, several panels back)

a good bit of gnashing and wailing ensued....none of which could pass the diecast code of ethics and so,will not be displayed here.....suffice it to say,the cat`s early departure was to his good fortune.......cat 1 / lucky rabbits feet 0/4

Ogre cleaned up after himself, best he could......he helped himself to the spare Lloyd and made off for parts unknown....leaving a well and truly right campsite for Gargamel`s imminent return

This is "edge of your seat" stuff JayBee...it's like the reader was there!  Gargamel will, like his fence, be overwrought when he figures out the tragedy that has transpired in his absence and will always wonder what kind of an animal steals a man's Boler trailer deck?  And why are there  fresh Luhloyd tire tracks on his driveway...and what's with the bloodied unlucky rabbit's foot lying nearby?  Does all of this mean there will be a Season 2?

Boler ???.......will I need to get special shoes for my contract players?

........when G-mel found his way back to the site.he was NOT prepared for what he saw.....maybe the bowling shoes would have softened the shock,we just cant say.......
