GREAT PHOTOS!  That Bel-Air for sure NEEDS the fender skirts ON!  Gives it a much sportier and richer look to my eyes.  Without them, the rear wheel-well seems way too big.

I totally get your valid point George. These skirts look far better than they would on so many other cars. However, just speaking for me, I love the '56 Chevy much, much better without skirts. They add a heavy look back there and hide that classic and beautiful teardrop wheel well. And thank goodness DM did not add the conny kit on this one!

Thanks Tony.  And I totally get your point about the "teardrop wheel well" too.  I think the problem I have with the "no skirts" is that I see the underside of the car without the skirts.  Not a fan of that.  Regardless though of both our respective opinions, DM really did an incredible replication of the '56 Bel Air and I'm glad we got it.  And yes, thankfully without a Conny Kit.

Love both. A brand new 1:1 '56 in this color combo got me hooked on Corvettes. It belonged to the neighborhood butcher shop owner.
